Bignon requests issues of the Philosophical Transactions. The Duc d’Aumont would like to be introduced to Sloane and view his collection. Bignon praises Sloane’s Natural History of Jamaica. Chevalier Moreland is working with the deaf. Jean-Paul Bignon (1662-1743) was a clergyman, librarian to Louis XIV, member of the Academie francaise, and mentor of Joseph Pitton de Tournefort (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean-Paul_Bignon).
