Transcription
Gyles leaves a ‘small upright Glass’ with Sloane, which he describes as ‘a great curiosity’. It belongs to a widow who has to sell it because she has ‘seaven children’ to care for. The widow originally wanted ‘fiveteen Shillings’, but would lower it to ten for Sloane. John Gyles was a physician.
