Cotesworth informs Sloane that he wants to resign from his position at St Thomas’ Hospital. He requests that Sloane help Dr Edward Wilmot take up the post. Caleb Cotesworth (d. 1741) was Physician to St Thomas’ Hospital. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1718.
