    He was little better than when Holland gave Sloane a first account. His spittle was a little thinner and a bloody colour. Holland also noted that Carlier begs Sloane to change the prescription because he did not think the cortex would work the way that Sloane hoped. However, he would continue to take it until Sloane gave further instructions.
