Copley asks Sloane to procure bottles of German spa water to help with his wife’s stomach ailment. He thanks Sloane for his last letter and expects he will receive the books ‘on Satturyday next, for ye Acct of Parlmt I desire’. Sir Godfrey Copley was a politician and active member of the Royal Society. He was elected a Fellow of the latter in 1691 (C. I.
