Wanley apologizes for breaking his promise, explaining that the Royal Society has given him a task and deadline that has keep him very busy. He details this schedule and writes that he will try to wait on him on Monday. Wanley was an Old English scholar and a librarian. He contributed four catalogues to Bernards Catalogue, a collection of manuscripts published in 1697.
