Yonge thanks Sloane for offering to forward Dr Cyprianus’s letter and asks him for an address. He comments on the work of ‘The Black mayd’ and Dr Charlton’s case ‘of the Leo: man’. James Yonge was a surgeon and physician of Plymouth with experience as a ship’s surgeon.
