Thoresby asks whether Sloane received the antiquities he sent. He tells Sloane that it has been about a year since he received a letter from him. Thoresby would like his work published and puts himself at Sloane’s service. Ralph Thoresby wrote “The Topography of Leedes” in 1715 and was interested in the topography of Yorkshire in general. He maintained a large collection of antiquities and other curiosities at his Musaeum Thoresbyanum in Leeds (P. E.
