Chamberlayne returns Sloane’s copy of the ‘Armoric Dialogue’ and apologizes for keeping it so long. He was happy to hear of Sloane’s appointment as Physician-Extraordinary to Queen Anne. John Chamberlayne was a translator and editor specializing in modern languages which he studied at the University of Leiden.
