Haliday sends a book by Monsieur Le Clerc about worms in the human body and a medical treatise ‘concerning the Disease […] amongst the Cattel’. He recommends Dr Chenaud, who is ‘highly esteem’d by all that know him for his good sense, good Humour & obliging Temper.’ Haliday was a minister who studied in Glasgow and Leiden before being ordained in Geneva, Switzerland (A.
