Burnet is planning on sending some shells he collected with Captain Wilks. He details the expenses incurred while working as a surgeon in Jamaica. Burnet wants to be moved to Panama as ‘it is much more healthfull than Portobello’. John Burnet worked for the South Sea Company in the West Indies and later served as the Physician to King Philip V of Spain.
