William Newton praises Sloane and Sir Isaac Newton’s participation in the ‘study of Natural philosophy’. He is interested every time ‘some hidden treasure or rare production of nature’ is discovered. William explains that a friend’s workers were searching the ‘Seacliffs’ and found ‘great quantitys of silver ore’. He asks that Sloane inform Sir Isaac Newton and the Royal Society.
