Description
Mrs Plowden has a 'dry husk cough', which came about after she went for a ride. She almost fainted on her horse, then had a cold for a fortnight. Plowden thinks she is 'att the last extremity', i.e. near death. Other symptoms include: swollen stomach, swollen legs, shortness of breath, fever, 'an Asthmatick cough', 'dropsicall swelling', 'brings up nothing but thick flegm', general weakness, and sleeplessness.
