Hatton informs Sloane that ‘Dr Aldrige’ [Aldrich], Dean of Christ Church, Oxford, will be waiting on him ‘next Thursday at three of ye Clock’. Charles Hatton was the son of Christopher Hatton, 1st Baron Hatton and brother of Christopher Hatton, 1st Viscount Hatton [Sir Bernard Burke, C.B.
