Heucher wishes Sloane would make use of his service more often. Some fossils were dug up in Saxony, which Heucher will present to Sloane when he has an opportunity to do so. He offers to provide botanical information and discusses his scholarly work. Johann Heinrich Heucher (1677-1747) was an Austrian physician. He taught philosophy and became Professor of Medicine at Wittenberg (1709-1713). Heucher was also physician and Counsellor to August II, King of Poland, superintendant of the King’s library, and founded the botanical gardens at Wittenberg (https://collections.royalsociety.org/DServe.exe?dsqIni=Dserve.ini&dsqApp=Archive&dsqCmd=Show.tcl&dsqDb=Persons&dsqPos=0&dsqSearch=%28Surname%3D%27heucher%27%29).
