Abraham de la Pryme was an antiquary, who established extensive correspondence with other antiquaries such as Nathaniel Johnston, Thomas Gale, Ralph Thoresby, and Sloane. In 1702, on Sloane’s proposal, he was elected a fellow of the Royal Society
