Patient Details

  • Patient info
    Name: Mrs. Grossage
    Gender:
    Age:"no young woman"
  • Description

observed course of treatment "with great resolution". Subject to vapours.

  • Diagnosis
  • Treatment
    Previous Treatment:

Dr. Palmer precribed a chalybeate purging course six months previously.

    Ongoing Treatment:

Epes had not used Sloane's proposed treatment (unspecified) as he did not think she could bear more evacuations by vomiting or stools.

    Response:

Palmer's purging course made her lose her appetite and her strength, but not her illness. Epes had been called on the 13th of September and have seen her legs improve, as well as her thirst, appetite and breathing. If Sloane was still of the opinion that she should have evacuations, he would try them now.
