Copley thanks Sloane for the copies of the Philosophical Transactions and requests more books. In particular, he wants to know if ‘Camdens Britannia be come out’. He asks if Sloane knows anyone interested in acquiring lodging in the Temple. Mr Sanderson, an attorney, has the keys to the building, which is ‘ye Low Leaded building in fig tree court’. Sir Godfrey Copley was a politician and active member of the Royal Society. He was elected a Fellow of the latter in 1691 (C. I.
