Description
For 20 years or more, had a "melancholly & flegmatick habit" and a slow digestion. When catching the least cold, his stomach was disordered. Hemorrhoids started to bleed about 4 years ago, so much that his life was in danger. Over last two years, flux was moderate. Present illness: intermittent fever. Caught it during a long journey when he laid in a damp bed. Described the fever in detail, though the fits were not violent. Stomach burning was another symptom. Has flux of blood and constipation.

Treatment
Previous Treatment:
Sloane previously treated him for "a violent bleeding at the Hemorrhoids."
Ongoing Treatment:He has been vomited with Indian root, but has an aversion to the Cortex. Sounds like Davison took advice from the author: "He tooke my advice". Other treatments included purges.
Response:The bleeding is less though the paitent now has a fever brought on by a long journey and sleeping in a damp bed.
