Goodall asks if Sloane has any knowledge of the internal use of ‘Cantharides’ or dried beetles. He asks for references to any authors that may mention it, and tells Sloane that he will be doubly thankful if Sloane gets an answer to him quickly. Charles Goodall was a physician, academic, and member of the Royal College of Physicians, working for the latter on occasion (Harold J.
