Goodall tells Sloane not to give any help or encouragement to Mr Boulton. He asks him not to supply Boulton with books or assist his projects in any way. Goodall implores Sloane, on their very friendship, to do this for him, and assures Sloane that he will fill him in on the reason when he sees him next. Charles Goodall was a physician, academic, and member of the Royal College of Physicians, working for the latter on occasion (Harold J.
