Hyde sends his latest proposals. He has already printed 25 pages of his book and many of his friends have been kind enough to subscribe to it. He thanks Sloane for the latest Philosophical Transactions. Hyde was the librarian of the Bodleian Library from 1665 to 1701. He possessed excellent linguistic skills in eastern languages, especially ancient Persian and Arabic (P. J.
