Sherard informs Sloane that the Parisian prints are at the post office. Mr Craw has been sent to pick them up and pay the customs fees. Sherard’s brother returns from Holland at the end of the week. He will forward Sloane the books that he promised at that time. Sherard was a botanist and cataloguer. He worked for the Turkish Company at Smyrna where he collected botanical specimens and antiques (D. E.
