Transcription
Sherard writes regarding prints that were sent from Paris, which have yet to arrive in London. He asks Sloane to send them to him when they come. He lists all the people for whom the prints are intended. Sherard is off to Bath soon and mentions that ‘By a letter from Monsr. Vaillant I hear Dr Tournefort was at Constantinople Apr. 8th.’ Sherard was a botanist and cataloguer. He worked for the Turkish Company at Smyrna where he collected botanical specimens and antiques (D. E.
