Transcription
Evelyn returned from the country and received a summons to the Royal Society Council. He believes Mr Hunt has made a mistake, as Evelyn asked to be left out of future meetings. He is nor in town enough and his age prevents him from adequately contributing to the meetings. John Evelyn was a diarist and writer who demonstrated a remarkable knowledge of horticulture. He was one of the founding members of the Royal Society (Douglas D. C.
