Scheuchzer discusses the publication of his book. He appoints John Woodward as his agent in England. It was published in London in 1708 as ‘Itinera alpina tria’ and dedicated to the Royal Society. He expresses a willingness to have his observations printed in the Philosophical Transactions. Enclosed are some alpine botanical specimens. Johann Jakob Scheuchzer (1672-1733) was a Swiss scholar and physician. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1703 and his work was published in the Philosophical Transactions. In 1708 his Itinera aplina tira was published in London. It was dedicated to the Royal Society. His largest project was the Itinera per Helvetiae alpines regions facta annis 1702-1711, dedicated to his travels and published in four volumes in 1723 at Leiden (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johann_Jakob_Scheuchzer).
