Sibbald informs Sloane that some acquaintances of his will be visiting London. They are planning on attending a meeting of the Royal Society. Sibbald is giving them copies of his natural history book to deliver to Sloane. Some ‘Roman Antiquities’ were found on the property of his wife’s nephew. Several Latin manuscripts in his possession may interest Royal Society. Sir Robert Sibbald was a physician and a geographer. He was physician to James VII (Charles W. J.
