[fol. 106] I have sent here an Extract of the part of Dr Averani’s letter to mee, where later to the Royal Society, wherein hee returns his thankes to them for the honour of having bin admitted a member of that most Illustrious Body. Sr, Your most humble obleigd sert Hen Newton Dr Sloane

Sir Henry Newton was a diplomat who worked extensively in the Italian states.
