Chamberlayne wishes Sloane ‘Many Happy New-years’ and suggests that he support the work of Mountfaucon. He requests that the letter sent by Montfaucon be responded to through the same carrier. John Chamberlayne was a translator and editor specializing in modern languages which he studied at the University of Leiden.
