Ockley waited on Sloane to view his manuscript collection, but to no avail. He is particularly interested in Oriental scholarship. The bearer, Mr Barret, is an honourable man looking for a place to stay in London. Ockley was an orientalist who studied Arabic and Hebrew as well as publishing books on the history of the Near East (P. M.
