Treatment
Previous Treatment:
She was given an 'Electuary'. This relieved her stomach, gave her more strength, and proved beneficial even as she suffered further fits. She was bled. When given 'the Barke' became 'languid'. She was bled again and 'the Blood taken was fizy of a light blue Colour'. A third bleeding revealed blood of 'a Whiter colour'.
Ongoing Treatment:The physician thinks it is not possible to administer the bark in the doses suggested, for they would induce violent fits.
Response:The physician proposes that an injection be administered to the stomach to prevent fits.
