Haliday congratulates Sloane on the marriage of his daughter to Mr Cadogan. He informs him of a secret method of corn cultivation that improves crop yield twenty to sixty fold. Haliday was a minister who studied in Glasgow and Leiden before being ordained in Geneva, Switzerland (A. D. G.
