Sherard was going to wait on Sloane with Mr Lufanius, but his plans got in the way. Lufanius is staying on ‘great suffolk street’ if Sloane wants to contact him. He is going to wait on Sloane tomorrow regardless. Sherard was a botanist and cataloguer. He worked for the Turkish Company at Smyrna where he collected botanical specimens and antiques (D. E.
