Richardson thanks Sloane for his favours. He will be sure to inform him of any curiosities that come his way. He laments the fact that the Royal Society’s members are concerned with mathematics over all other pursuits. Richardson was a physician and botanist who traveled widely in England, Wales, and Scotland in search of rare specimens.
