Preston returns copies of the Philosophical Transactions. He also sends the ‘memoria Balfouriana’ by Robert Sibbald and promises to send anything of interest Sloane’s way. Preston was a physician and botanist who established a lengthy correspondence with Sloane, exchanging plants, seeds, books and information.
