Steigertahl thanks Sloane for sending the latest Philosophical Transactions. He is glad Sloane saw the list of the ‘curiosities de feu Mr Kampfler’. The dried plants are expected to fetch ‘un grand prix’. Zollman is available to examine ‘l’Histoire de Japon’, which was written in German but might be translated into English. Steigertahl thinks it will be published. J.H. Kaempfer, the late Engelbert Kaempfer’s late uncle, is to provide Zollman with a price for the text. The King has been hunting and is now resting at Herrenhaus. Steigertahl hopes Princess Amalie will soon be feeling better. Johann Georg Steigertahl (1666-1740) was the personal physician to George I of England. He was a member of the Royal Society and secured the purchase of Engelbert Kaempfer’s collection of East Asian curiosities for Sir Hans Sloane in 1723 (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johann_Georg_Steigerthal).
