Transcription
The author last saw Sloane at ‘old mans coffee house’ and suggests that mercury is what the ‘philosophers’ are writing about. Mercury has all the right properties. According to the author, this has to be kept secret for it is valuable knowledge. The only people who know of the author’s work are himself, Sloane, and an ‘old Acquaintance’ called Hammond. The author apologizes for not revealing his name.
