Mary Grey writes to Sloane about a younger man in Hothfield Parish who is and has been for six months Lame of his hips. He has had advice in the country without success and is now entirely incapable to get his living. He applied to Mary to get him into some hospital and she is now asking Sloane to have the patient visit. She mentions Mr. Lamb and Mr. Coke with whom she met with in town. She told them she thought that with her father she’s have the 300# of his bounty already and they did not care to send more money out of England, but they are considering it.
