Walpole was ‘informed that ye Living of Chelsea of which you are Patron is likely to be vacant’. He recommends ‘ye Revd Mr Haneley’ for the post. Horatio Walpole was a politician, diplomat, and younger brother of Robert Walpole, the first Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
