Transcription
Purnell writes to Sloane a 3 page long letter with very tiny and condensed writing which is at times difficult to read. He begins by telling Sloane that he followed his advice to seek out Mr. Ainsworth and meet with him to give him a catalogue of his medals which were sorted by the Reverend Doctor Chishall. He mentions “ancient inscriptions” Chishall saw on his voyage. Sr. Peter Vandcourt, Doctor Thorand, and Doctor Perinini are mentioned in relation to talk of “dangerous plants”. Consul Sherard, Mr. Lockwood, and Mr. Ainsworth are all mentioned in relation to a voyage and a collection of medals.
