Lady Katherine Tufton was born on 24 April 1693. She was the daughter of Thomas Tufton, 6th Earl of Thanet and Lady Catherine Cavendish. She married Edward Watson, Viscount Sondes, son of Lewis Watson, 1st Earl of Rockingham, on 21 March 1708/9. She died on 13 February 1733/34 at age 40. From 21 March 1708/9, her married name became Watson.
