He sends his thanks to Petiver for sending the third and fourth part of his ‘Gazophylacium’. Hotton is corresponding with Vaillant, Petiver, Fagon, and De Beaumont. He instructs Sloane on how to dispose of the money sent for catalogues and books. He wants two books in particular: one by Raymund Vieussens on anatomy and another by Henricus Snellen on medicine.
