David Ershine

David Erskine (1672-1745), 9th Earl of Buchan was invested as a Privy Counsellor in 1697 and held several other posts. He lost his appointments because of his opposition to the Acts of Union 1707.

Caleb Cotesworth

Caleb Cotesworth (d. 1741) was Physician to St Thomas’ Hospital. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1718. Cotesworth left a fortune of £100,000 and £200,000 at his death.

Jacob Theodor Klein (1685-1759) was a Royal Prussian jurist, historian, botanist, mathematician, and diplomat who worked for August II, King of Poland. He was Secretary to the Senate of Danzig and was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1729.

Mary Grey

Mary Grey (nee Tufton) (d. 1785) was the daughter of Thomas Tufton, 6th Earl of Thanet, and Lady Catharine Cavendish. She married Anthony Grey, Earl of Harold, in 1718. After the latter’s death she married John Leveson-Gower, 1st Earl Gower, in 1736.
